Frequently asked questions

  • Can I advertise my Business on your Facebook Group?
Yes you can. Click here to learn more about our Advertising options.
  • Why Are Your Posts Being Declined?

A frequent cause for post rejection is the absence of location details.
For Seekers: When requesting an item, please include the area you can travel to or arrange a WEFAST pickup.
For Givers: Clearly state the pickup location, referencing landmarks, suburbs, or neighborhoods. Remember, it's improbable that someone will journey far to collect an item.
Kindly update your post with these details for approval.
  • Is selling permitted within this group?

No, it is not. Use this group instead.

  • What should I do if someone offers free items in the group but then tries to sell me other products via DM?

We acknowledge the possibility of individuals exploiting this group by initially offering free items and then attempting to sell products through direct messages. While we do not intervene in private transactions, we advise you to exercise judgment and discernment in these interactions. If you suspect that someone is acting against the group's ethos, consider blocking them to avoid further issues. We encourage members to be vigilant and develop their ability to recognize genuine offers from deceptive ones. The admins strive to maintain a safe and honest community, but we also rely on our members' awareness and discretion in such matters.
  • Do I have to create appreciation posts for my experience in the group?

No, appreciation posts are entirely optional and not obligatory. They can serve as a source of inspiration for others to share their positive experiences.
  • I'm interested in donating items, but I have reservations about sharing my phone number or address. What should I do?

If you’re uncomfortable sharing your phone number, consider using Facebook Messenger to communicate with potential recipients and answer any questions they may have before they come to collect the items. If you reside in an apartment complex, you can arrange for the recipient to pick up the items from the security cabin, eliminating the need to disclose your apartment address. If the person wishes to send WEFAST to pickup the item, please provide the name and number of your security staff so that the WEFAST guy can call for directions to pickup the item from your Apartment comples. It’s important to keep in mind that we do not verify the identities of group members, and you are solely responsible for your decisions. The group admin bears no responsibility for any outcomes that may arise.
  • How can I ensure that the item I offer finds its intended purpose rather than being resold for personal profit or gain?

Once you have bestowed a gift, it is essential to release any attachment to its subsequent use. The usage or non-usage of the item should not weigh on your mind, nor should it necessitate your ongoing concern. If you find yourself grappling with discomfort over this matter, we advise seeking support from a therapist and considering whether participating in this group aligns with your well-being.

  • Is this group solely for giving to the needy or the poor?

No, the group is for anyone willing to pick up items that you want to give away, regardless of their circumstances.
  • Many people are interested in the items I posted. Who should I give them to?

Ultimately, it’s your choice who receives the items. Some members prefer to give them to the first person who can pick them up. The decision on who receives your items is a personal one.
  • How can someone repeatedly request items on every offer that is posted? Shouldn't this activity be monitored and addressed by the Admins?

Our group is experiencing rapid growth, and our dedicated volunteers are working diligently to maintain a clutter-free environment. Keeping track of who requests what, especially when it happens frequently, can be a challenging task.

It's crucial to bear in mind that the central mission of our group is to GIVE STUFF AWAY FOR FREE. Please pause for a moment to contemplate your primary motivation for joining this community. Are you here to actively contribute to others, or do you wish to pass judgment on those who may be perceived as acting unethically?
  • Can I change my mind and decide not to give the item to anyone?

Yes, you can, but it’s best not to make a habit of it.
  • Should I provide the pickup location for the items I'm giving away?

Yes, it’s important to mention at least the landmark or suburb where the items can be picked up. Without this information, you may need to repeat it to interested parties, which can be frustrating and inefficient. Providing location details helps everyone involved.
  • Are there specific criteria for choosing who receives the items?

No, the giver has the discretion to decide who receives the items.
  • What items can I offer in this group?

You can offer any items you’re willing to give away, as long as they are legal and useful. Examples include furniture, clothing, electronics, home decor, plants, food, utensils, appliances, and toys.

However, when it comes to furniture, there are some bad experiences shared by other people who received mattresses. Here is one of them:

"I have received a mattress from a person by WeFast and have developed skin rashes as there were bed bugs in it. I did not want to hurt the person by telling this however, I have developed skin rashes and applying an ointment after visiting a doctor. I just wanted to inform you this not to hurt anyone's sentiments but just so that in the future people might mention the condition and not only discard trash so that everyone health is maintained at the same time."

  • What items are prohibited in this group?

We kindly request that all members refrain from giving or requesting any illegal items into the group. This includes, but is not limited to, items such as expired food items, medicines, gas cylinders, pirated CDs or DVDs, Coupons, photocopies of books, firearms, cannabis, and alcohol.
  • I got banned from the Group. Can you reinstate my account?

If you want your account to be reinstated please click here and fill up this application request.
  • I gave my Mobile but forgot to erase the data. What can I do?

We are so sorry. We cannot provide assistance with recovering items that have been given away, as it is your responsibility to ensure their proper preparation.
  • Who is responsible if an item, like furniture, is damaged during transport, and how is damage assessed among the giver, transporter, and receiver, especially when the receiver pays for transportation?

In our community, we prioritize goodwill and sharing over commercial transactions. Items are given as-is by members who wish to pass them on, not for profit but for extended use. While we hope for smooth transitions, damages during transport can occur and are an unfortunate risk inherent to the sharing process. As this is not a commercial exchange, the responsibility and resolution for damages are based on mutual respect and understanding between givers, receivers, and transporters. We encourage open communication and understanding among all parties. If you value this community spirit, we welcome your participation and understanding in these situations.
  • What should I consider when giving items on a short-term basis?

Our community thrives on the generosity of sharing items freely without expecting returns. This platform is primarily for giving away items, not for lending or borrowing. Before deciding to offer an item temporarily, please understand that once an item is handed over, its condition and return cannot be guaranteed. Lenders should be prepared for the possibility of wear and tear or non-return. It's essential to weigh the risks personally as the responsibility lies with the individual giver. The administration does not oversee the return or condition of items post-exchange. We encourage all to participate with a mindset of generosity and community enhancement. Your cooperation helps sustain our positive, giving environment.
